Harry's Story
Life
Updated May 2011 - children, Kalysta and Harrison, adopt an NM Army Natl Guard soldier in 2003, bring him home for Christmas...their 20 minutes of notoriety...we're proud!... Married in 1989 to the same wonderfully patient and beautiful lady (Kris). Too many dogs, cats and rabbits (really it's the extra hair and dander). Kalysta is an outstanding student, first chair cellist and basketball/softball jock; Harrison is a computer games specialist, snowboarder, and basketball jock, and recently won 1st place in the school science fair, going to regionals mid Feb 2008...hits some pretty awesome homeruns, too!
Been a self employed financial planner/consultant for over 30 years.
Although I feel blessed with what's happened to me during the years, I truly miss my friends from high school, miss the dances, fishing, camping as a young kid, hiking in the Franklin Mountains, staying up late cruising in town with the convertible top down. Nothing beats driving 80 mph down Transmountain Road with the top down, nor Highway 1 for that matter.
After charining my 1978 class reunion with a bunch of friends from the class, decided to start the Alumni Association for Andress, and almost completing the 50th Celebration event for Saturday, July 23, 2011. A passion...Expand for more

School
Attended elementary school at Ft Bliss, then Newman, Terrace Hills, brief stint at Dowell, Fannin, then Andress High. Went to Tulane Univ of Louisiana on scholarship, The American College, College for Financial Planning. Partied hard, studied hard and burned both ends of the candle.
Sounds like today...
College
Had a terrific time at Tulane. 3 out of the 4 years, the football team went to various BCS bowls. Played quarterback on the intramural squad, ran track, canoe club, campus newspaper, very active with Chemical Engineering stuff. Now actively involved as a National Director for the Alumni association....get's me and my family back to New Orleans regularly.
The other colleges were work based, computer based training. The stint at The American College in Philadelphia during the deep cold of winter...lot's of hot buttered rum, I remember!
Workplace
After 27 years, left Prudential in June 2010 to be more independent.
Military
Dreamed of being an Air Force pilot...yet, those who truly know me, know why I was rejected from being accepted to the Air Force Academy.
