Currently I'm working part-time as a photojournalist in the fields of nature, national parks, aviation, and motorsports racing. Golly gee but I have to spend a lot of time at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and various military and civilian airports. Since I've developed arthritis I've had to endure three major surgeries over the past two years for pain constraints. And, I also need to rebuild both shoulders again (if possible) once I regain the use of my legs which went "awol" after my spinal surgery April 14th, 2004. Unfortunately, the prolonged standing requirements for teaching or management of retail stores is no longer a...Expand for more
viable option.
Comprehensive therapy three times per week has become an accepted life long regimen. I guess I'm in forced retirement. Hey, many others are much worse off. I'm thankful I'm no longer in that damn wheelchair! But, I sure do miss hiking or just taking a walk.
My major regrets are (1) that I didn't pursue music as a career, (2) didn't pursue military aviation, and (3) that I didn't try to keep in better contact with all the wonderful teachers and fellow students that I grew up with, and/or with so many of the great collegues I worked with over the years. * * * * *
THEREFORE, let's really try to contact everyone we know from our Madison High School Class of 1958 to make sure they are aware that we already had a fabulous reunion in 2003 and that a 50th would also be a most welcome event. There are still 11 class members that none of us were ever able to locate or contact. * * * * *
Now, please consider this possibility. Let's say we have a less formal 50th reunion in a more laid back setting like a lodge in a national park or aboard a cruise ship say, to the Mexican Riviera or Alaska. We could just kick back and enjoy the camaraderie and beautiful scenery without having to spend a great deal of time with intricate planning prior to the gathering. Let's share some ideas and preferences.
Take care and continue to STAY HEALTHY!!!!! * * * * * * *
