David's Story

Life I have seen almost every aspect of life, from the highest of high's to the lowest of lows. I am glad to say that I survived, although I never thought I wouldn't. My life now is settled and comfortable. I have overcome some major setbacks(understatement of the year), and now feel I would be classified on the successful end of the spectrum considering everything. I have basically ended the same as many knew me in the high school days, or at least as I perceive myself in those days: Usually quiet depending on the subject, and very opinionated and vocal when the issue is important to me; patriotic and supportive of our soldiers, yet don't agree with our leaders allowing them to be killed senslessly or deploying them for their own glory, and while I support most protection of other countries, but believe it is time those countries paid for their protection, and should be thrown to the wolves if they display anti-American views; I work too mauch; I do anything to help friends in need; Good Father but bad Dad(but working hard on improving this, now with custody of my youngest son). I have become a Senior Project Manager for a compandy called S. C. Anderson, Inc. in Bakersfield, CA.(Should anyone care to contact me and a Gold member, I can be reached through their office). This is a construction company, doing mostly commercial construction. My main focus in the last 10 years has been school construction, with 1 jail(juvenile) as an exception. Though I had been in school for most of the years since high school, I only completed a formal degree in 2002(with honors I must unmodestly brag). I am in decent shape for our age, but I am starting to show gray. I don't relax much, and stay active constantly. I finally...Expand for more
got a Harley, not one of the new ones, boring, but a '77 Shovel Head. :)) I have nearly completed renovation of a large 2 story house with more amenities than I ever thought I would have especially the 3 Dachsunds(very lovable creatures). I have also added a large shop, so should I attempt retirement some day, I will still have something to do. I have also gone back into reacing(hobby) and can be found at Bakersfield Speedway most Saturday nights during race season(they have a website as well). I miss many of my old friends and know where few of you are. I missed our 10 year reunion despite having the tickets and tux ready. A series of accidents including crushed foot, car accident(severe back injuries, and NO not my fault or driving too fast as most remember), and broken nose from softball(all seperate accidents in the 4 weeks prior to the reunion) left me if not merely too tore up to go, too proud to be remembered that way. I never heard if we had a 20 year, and hate to think I missed it. I had tried contacting several of ypou with no success. I hope those of you I know will take the time to at least provide this kind of update. I know how busy we can all be, but I like many others I am sure hold a special place in my memery and do at least knowing how you are doing. My profile only showed 10 views, so I doubt many will see this. I am sure you are those I wish to know about most. I wish you well, look forward to seeing you at 30 years I assume, and thank you for geting this far through my rambling. Sorry for any and all typos, I don't proof these kinds of things. Go Tigers!! My prayers and support go out to ALL military members and their families. Thank you for our freedom from this American!!!!
