Hazel's Story

Went to Fairmount Elementary (remember Ms. Winston, Mrs. Gordon, Mrs. Patrick and Mr. Freeman?), then went to Mosby Middle School then Kennedy. Left Kennedy moved to Philadelphia, PA to live with my sister where I went to Kensington (All Girl) High School. Not sure how I wanted people to remember me. Im sure i was a chatty cathy though. Little quiter now. I always wanted to be a lawyer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a pain in the butt. As it turns out, they were kinda right. My favorite way to relax is reading, music, mountains and sitting by the ocean. The wildest thing I ever did was cut class. Wish I hadn't now. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a repunzel type tower, a laptop, an adding machine, and g-car to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero was my daddy. He was the only person ever in my life to love me unconditionally. Lived in Church Hill, North Philadelphia, Jamaica Queens, NY and now Varina in Richmond, VA. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my daddy, because I want to tell and show him how much I love him. Obsessed with oldies but goodies from the 70's and 80's. Loving motherhood and being a grandmother was the biggest and best surprise of my life. I love being a mother and love being a grandmother even more. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a bigger bathroom with a footed tub and bigger closet to my bedroom. My dream home would be included with a good husband (tee hee)... I learned how to love from my children. I would love to see Mrs. Miller from Fairmount. If I won $100 million, I'd give most of it to uncle sam, then my church, my children, grandchildren, some other family members and having fun shopping and t...Expand for more
raveling with my friends. To be truly TRULY happy I would have to remember all the things I purposely forgot and blocked our of my memory about Richmond when I left. Thats not going to happen though. My current age is 50 (but I never tell the truth, 39 is my lie and Im sticking to it!). When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. On my job I would like to go from Asst Manager to RIC Manager to Regional Manager. My first crush hmmmmmm I'll get back to you on that. My best friend would tell you I'm sometimes loud, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy at first. Dress more conservative now, every now and then I show a little clevage or legs though. No weird jobs. I share my home with myself and occasionally my main man, my grandson, which I find sad and happy. Sad because I need a life and happy because I love spending time with my grandson. Only work awards. Wait, I received an award from the Richmond School Board with my car club for assisting with the "Back to School" drive yearly. I would do 20-29-years old over. In 10 years, I hope to be happy. I'm going to get there by letting go of the bad things in my life. I have several girlfriends that I have kept in touch with for anywhere from 20 to 40-years. I have no idea what would surprise everyone because I really do not remember what kind of person I was back then. My first job was at McDonalds, where I got paid ??? to cashier. What I remember most about it is the manager because he owns several franchises today. A story........I remember singing in the choir at Gospel Baptist Church, leaving Richmond to live in Philadelphia and forgetting everything about Richmond, except a few friends, when i left.
