Brian & I lived on Front Beach Drive in Ocean Springs, MS prior to Hurricane Katrina. Our apartment & both cars were destroyed during the hurricane. The place where we rode out the storm got 8 ft. of water. We were on the second floor of our friends' house with 4 steps left before the water came up on the 2nd floor. ne through emergency numbers. We were able to call my parents in Kentucky and a friend of my dad HAM radioed the Coast Guard. We were later rescued by the Coast Guard and the National Guard. We are now living in a travel trailer, looking to buy land, and build a house. There were many miracles in our survival situation. We are thankful to be alive!
