Heather's Story

Life My Spouse I met my spouse while attending UCF. Becky Windham brought him home from a frat party one night. He came over looking for her the next night, and she was out with someone else. We became friends, then roomies ... our 10th wedding anniversary is coming up in July. My Pets We have an old basset hound and are considering adding a lab puppy. (My husband wants a dog to take fishing!) We still have the same calico cat we've had since our college days and the two female tabbies who lived on our property before we arrived. I have one horse I show in "eventing" in the southeastern U.S. and a lovely mare that will be bred this season. By the spring of 2002, we'll have a foal! A miniature donkey and two miniature goats round out the family ... for now. My Kids Af...Expand for more
ter all those years of saying I'd never have any kids ... I had a baby girl on May 1st of 1999. She weighed nine and a half pounds at birth, and yes, I did it all natural with no drugs! Still as stubborn as ever :-) I get a kick out of people asking, "Where's her mother?" She's so big, and I'm still the same old shrimpy me. Reaghin is not quite two, and she's 1/3 my weight and more than 1/2 my height! She's very friendly, charming and happy ... did I mention smart, clever and adorable? My Job I talk all day long, and my patients never get a word in edgewise. I'm a dental hygienist. Our office is open Monday through Thursday form 1 to 9 p.m. I can ride my horses and play with my little girl in the mornings, and I have a 3-day weekend for family outings and horse shows.
