Heather's Story
Life
Living in Portland, Oregon and loving it. It is the land of coffee and naturopathic medicine, sandwiched between high desert, mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Bought a little house (a 1955 ranchalow with pink and gold formica kitchen counter tops) a few years ago and have been enjoying painting and landscaping it. No kids. One cat. I tend to come back to Monticello a few times a year, although I was visiting quite a bit more when my mom was sick. She died in April 2006.
Workplace
Currently I do two things: I'm a medical social worker (part-time) working in the Immune Deficiency Clinic with HIV+ folks at Kaiser Permanente. I've done social work in HIV in one form or another since I finished grad school in 1998. Also, I have a half-time private practice in which I do therapy with individuals and couples.
