Heather's Story
The September following graduation (1971) I took a two-week ocean liner trip to Australia with my family. I got my first job in Sydney as a file clerk. I returned to Canada and lived briefly in Calgary before settling back in Vancouver. From 1975 to 1980 I travellled back and forth across Canada in a 1962 stepvan, outfitted as a jewellery workshop. n we moved back to Vancouver. I had my son late in October of 1982. I operated a licensed family daycare for 6 years, both in Vancouver and Cloverdale. The marriage lasted 10 years. I lived in Cloverdale from 1987 for 16 years, then moved in May 2003 to Denman Island, where I am involved in organic ventures and sewing. My son is 26 and has a job in Vienna, Austria with ORF radio station. I visited him there in May 2007 after he and I explored Scotland together. We went to Duart Castle on the Isle of Mull, the McLean castle! There is obviously more, but that's a start!
