wing September. Ron left that November for a year in Okinawa, so I raised Derek most of his first year by myself. (Yes, that's why Derek is the way he is :) ) Left USMC June '89. Entered the civilian world, worked at the base Dry Cleaners. Gave birth to our youngest & tallest, Alec, July '90. Moved to VA Beach in mid-'91. Worked as Manager of base Dry Cleaners and then became retail supervisor at Oceana Exchange. Attended TCC '93 to '95. Received my AAS in Graphic Design. Moved back to Jacksonville, NC mid-'95. Started at The Daily News as a contracted salesperson, then tearsheet clerk, then Creative Services Leader, then Creative Services Manager. Came back to VA Beach June '02. Hired by Landmark's Military Newspapers as a graphic designer. Transferred to The Pilot September '03. Bought our home June '05. Eventually worked up through Team Coordinator to Team Leader. Left the Pilot July '09. Started with William E Wood Realtors as their New Homes Graphic Designer Aug '09. Lovin' it!".
