Heather's Story
Boy, where to begin? After high school I went to college, still not knowing exactly what to do with my life. In '93 I ran into a former classmate who'd just finished court reporting school. His career choice intrigued me, so I checked into what was entailed (school, etc.). Realizing right away this was something I wanted to do, I finally graduated in '97 & took my national & California certification exams, then traveled around Europe for almost three months.

ity, we finally had our daughter Isabella in 2005. Being told by the doctor that we'd never be able to conceive a child on our own without fertility drugs (which I'm a proponent of but would never endure the experience twice), we were surprisedly blessed with our second daughter, Emily, in '06. (And yes, we are indeed finished making our family!)
Life as a full-time reporter, wife and mother to two small babies is intense, but I'm so pleased with the gifts I've been given so far in life. I look forward every day to the new surprises that are bound to come down the pike.
