Heather's Story
School was not easy for me. I was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexic as an adult and therefore College was a little easier. As with most of us I graduated and went to El Camino and then worked. I ended up going to UCLA and getting my degree in Early Childhood Education at the age of 36. I have had many jobs since and my life didnât settle down until I was 35. At that time in my life I came to the realization that my life was out of control and I could no longer go on the way I was and needed to change. listened and with the help of God and others I turned my life around. I have been married to my husband Lee since 1984. We currently live in Little Elm, TX. We own a home on an acre on Lewisville Lake. We adopted our biological granddaughter and she is currently a student at Texas A & M Corpus Christi. Our family for the most part has healed and I have four grandchildren two of which live her close by and two in Torrance. I was an Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Counselor for a few years and now I am a Special Education Teacher working with Life skills students. Life is worth living. If I have anything to say is donât give up andâ Trust in the Lord for he is goodâ.
