Heather's Story

This space really isn't big enough to explain where I've been in the last twenty years. Where have I been? A better question would be...where haven't I been? Friends joke that they always write my address in pencil because they don't know how long I'll be there. Long story short, I left California to be a ski bum in Sun Valley in 93, then decided to head East to Washington DC to write and do Journalism. rything and went to Europe to become an artist and a bohemian. I enjoyed not having a permanent address for most of the 90s, teaching English, traveling and writing, making films and eventually settling in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I chased Georgia O' Keefe's ghost. From there, I went to Dallas, where I am today, writing, teaching, and finishing my PhD at University of Texas. My first book deals with man's relationship to machines and is forthcoming next year. I'm excited for the reunion this summer so I can party like it's 1999 with my old buddies: Jaime, Jeanne, Alicia, and Erin.
