Heda's Story
Life
I am teaching all types of BIOLOGY grades 9-12- Have become a real science geek- Can't get enough info on genetics and evolution- My favorite book this summer was "Survival of the Sickest"
I live in Suburban Maryland,( about 30 mins from D.C.) but really miss the ocean-
My husband, Tom, who used to work for the Smithsonian- (which sounds oh so glamorous, - NOT) has recently gone independent and started a business designing interactive science exhibits- Really cool- BUT he probably won't pull in any income for 2 more years- At least we bought a...Expand for more
house 12 years ago, when they were still affordable
We are childless by choice- I really am NOT fond of small children, but love working w/ teenagers- Another teacher and I have hypothesized that the age level that we love to teach is the one at which we function (arrested development)
We do have a cat ( who may be autistic) a gecko and fish (which the cat would love to become more acquainted with)
Have recently begun playing mandolin- Enjoy stained glass and rubber stamping, John Stewart and the Mets
