Jim's Story
Hello Munich friends! Those were some great years.
I've had a great life...graduated from The Citadel (BAD choice!) and then couldn't get into med school. I finally went to a Mexican med school for 2 years in Guadalajara, assisted autopsies at UT Galveston for 2 years and finally got into a real med school at UT-Houston and graduated in 1982. I was board certified in Emergency Medicine and practiced in the ER for 6 years,was the doctor at the geographic South pole ...Expand for more
and then morphed into an Occupation Medicine doc where I have been content x 20+ years. Married to a wonderful partner/lover, Joyce, a social worker, with one awesome child, JP (the good-lookin' kid directly behind me in the picture) who is 17 and shopping for mega colleges which is why I'll keep practicing until 70 or so. We have been living this dream for the last 20 years in Austin. Please call if you're in the neighborhood and we'll meet for dinner. All the best.
