Heidi's Story
Life
I got married, one year after I graduated, to Martin Snavley, who I dated my senior year. Within 2 years I had my first child, Kevin and then 2 more followed, Tristan and Calista. They are now 15, 12, and 9 years old. I homeschool all of them and love having them around. On Dec. 16, 2005 we left Wasilla, after my husband resigned from his job and we sold our house, on what was going to be a year long RV trip around the country. During our travels we were going to try and find that "perfect" place to settle down in when we were done traveling. We actually traveled for six months before the kids were ready to go back to Alaska and we never did find that "perfect" place. 2006. We had a fabulous time, did some really fun things and saw lots of people!! Now we are back in Wasilla and settling down again. My husband started over with a completely different career and is happier than ever.
Workplace
After high school I attended Alaska Computer Institute for medical administration and worked as a medical transcriber for the doctors at Fairbanks Clinic. I did that until my first child was born. Since then I have been a full time domestic engineer and I will have to say it is the best job ever!!! Wouldn't trade it for anything, no regrets!
I recently completed my teacher training and am a certified yoga instructor. I've received my RYT status from Yoga Alliance and am teaching at Blue Mountains Wellness Studio in Palmer, AK.
