Heidi's Story

Life 38 years! Where has the time gone? What have we been up to? Howard and I married in 1975, we are still together enjoying life! We moved to the Galapagos Islands in 1977, and work in conservation of endangered species for the Charles Darwin Research Station (CDRS) through Peace Corp in Ecuador. Howard has been a professor in Biology at the University of New Mexico (UNM)for 22 years. We sailed our sailboat "Prima" San Diego-Galapagos during Howard's sabbatical about 15 years ago. I remained in Galapagos with the boat and research projects while Howard returned to UNM and started long distance commuting whenever he was free. Belen, New Mexico. We now enjoy exploring the wilds of New Mexico and the Southwest. Howard has returned to his passion of riding motorcycles and has a dual sport bike he has built up for exploring the backroads. We also have a dedicated 4wd field truck when the dog and I join him or for more extensive back country exploring. I have been associated with a small art gallery and have starting working in ceramics. My photography still sustains my little business, buy the pottery is getting better and sells fairly well. The best part is that it is fun. You can find us without much trouble (or spending $$ for this website) just searching on our names via the internet. It's always nice to hear from old friends, accent on friends and not OLD!
