Heidi's Story
My life has been very confusing. Been married a few times. Came out of my shell after being shy all my life at 35 when I started dancing Country Western, Swing and Shag. I realized I had a little talent.
I have a 37 year old daughter Michele which has worked at Disneyland since she was 17. My son Mark is a airline pilot for Mesa Air out of Denver.
I sold my Condo in Diamond Bar, left my job of 15 years and married a timber faller (Ken) and became a gypsy living in a 5th wheel trailer.
I got real sick about 4 1/2 years ago. I have a blood condition which my red blood cells vanish. Get very tired and down on life do to lack of energy. I get transfusions every 3 weeks. Gone through 6 bone marrow biopsies, 4 CT, blood test after blood test and my 3 Hematologist can't figure it out. No medical insurance for the ...Expand for more
first year so it was very tuff. The only thing they can come up with is that my bone marrow is nothing like they've ever seen before. I even went to NIH in Maryland for a undiagnosed disease program all paid for. Now I have iron overload and they have put me on a medican Exjade which is very nasty. They don't even recommend people over 55 taking it. Normal ferritin (stored iron) is no higher than 200 and mine is 4,000. My liver doesn't like it. Now it is enlarged do to the iron. I'm just a mess and pray every day this will go away as fast as it came.
I can't travel with Ken anymore do to I need to be near my doctors and hospital. But that's okay. His on retirement now and is doing handy man type work and still signed up for fires. I also have a kitty named Ginger.
That's enough boring stuff about me.
