Helen's Story

After I left Banks, I moved to Kirkland, WA and got a BA in Education from Northwest Univ. I got married in 1986 to a wonderful guy who is a mechanical engineer. We have a daughter who is 21 (Shanine) and a son 19 (Gerrit). Both are in college. I went back to school in 1997 and got a BS in Computers and worked as a computer Specialist/ Librarian at a private school (my kids attended there as well.) In 2005, I went back to school again and in 2007 I received my Masters in Bus. Ad. (I am done going to school.) I wanted to teach college level...Expand for more
courses. During this time, my husband with 5 partners started their own engineering firm and I became the Office Manager/IT person. I quit working there in Sept. '07 and planned on taking a little time off and then going back to work. We ended up buying a new house in Jan. so I took more time off to pack and unpack. I recently started working at ITT Tech as an Instructor teaching Project Management and Human Resources. It has been 22 years of marriage and we helped raise a couple of foster kids as well as our own. We live in Everett, WA.
