Helen's Story
I reside in Manhattan on the East Side.i am a newly retired teacher of over 25 years. I traveled the Bronx working one on one with hearing impaired children the best job ever the one to one relationship,with my students was so special and it will be with me always. In my spare time I always enjoyed summers at Long a beach and later on visits to the Caribbean and Costa Rica. I enjoy and continue to enjoy swimming ,The Harlem Globetrotters,animated movies and Broadway Musicals. I took up Ballroom dancing for eight years and met many great friends that way.I always have loved animals especially cats I have two...Expand for more
Noodles and Catalina.I had a best friend through the years and also graduated FHHS 1969. Her name was Helen Zuckerman she later married and adopted a son Victor who was the joy of her life...We kept I touch over the years through good and bad times. I lost my friend about 5 years ago to a heart attack. Recently I found Donna Scherick also a long time friend. She is married with 2 sons. My retirement has brought me into a whole new path. I am currently volunteering at The Bronx Botanical Garden and love it 2 days a week. I would love to get involved with other Alumini and help and attend the next reunion.
