Helen's Story
After high school I went to Henry Ford Community College for a couple years majoring in Business. My sister, Marianne, was moving back to Los Angeles and asked me to go with her. I happily moved away from home with all of our earthly possessions packed into her '65 Mustang. We had a great trip traveling to Georgia, Louisiana, across to Texas and on to California. I stayed in the L.A. area for 6 years. I married and moved to Massachusetts in 1977 where I've been ever since.
I have two kids and divorced in 1996. My daughter is a graphic designer and has moved to San Diego. My son graduated from college, studying film and media. We took a road trip across country to move him to Los Angeles in 2009. I wrote a short story about the trip in the anthology called "Forever Travels" released in December 2010.

o-authored a book with a guy who was abused by a priest when he was ten years old. He was programmed with sex, alcohol and porn. It was years later that he realized his twisted life was a result of the abuse. Determined to become the virtuous person he was meant to be, he found a compassionate therapist who helped him untangle his life. Together we wrote "Sins of the Abused" which was published on June 12, 2011. It's available on Amazon in book or kindle. It's an amazing story about a remarkable man.
For now, I run a clothing and jewelry boutique in Newburyport, Mass. I've been in business since 1978. My plans are to one of these days retire in California .
I'm a happy and content person who loves to write, relax, travel, practice yoga and Pilates. I love tending to my flower gardens and keeping active.
