Dwight's Story
Just a quick summary.
Went to U of F; graduated in Dec 1967; ROTC commission as Army 2nd LT.
Assigned to Germany 68-70. Met and married DoD school teacher - Judi.
Jul 70 - Jul 71 - Vietnam for a year as an advisor.
Back stateside with Army, Arlington, VA, Jul 71 - Sep 73.
Left active duty and went to Arizona State Univ for graduate degree.
1975 graduated ASU and moved to Las Vegas, NV, for job with County Planning & Zoning Department.
1977 j...Expand for more
oined the Dept of the Interior, Bureau of Land Mangement (BLM) and moved to Alaska.
1978 transferred from Army Reserve to Air Force Reserve
In Alaska 1977-1987 - mostly Fairbanks. Had a fantastic time!!!
1987 back to Northern Virginia with BLM.
Retired as LtCol from Air Force Reserve in 1994.
Retired from BLM 2007.
Moved to Las Vegas, NV 2009.
Built a new home in Calico Basin, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area; moved in January 2012.
