Henry's Story

Workplace I am a lawyer with a general practice in West Hartford. When people ask me what kind of law I practice I respond that I represent individuals, like them, whenever they need a lawyer. I represent people in buying, selling and refinancing their homes. I represent people when their marriage is falling apart. As I have gotten older, I help people draft premarital agreements (especially when it is a second marriage and there are children from the first marriage involved). I represent people when they are injured in car accidents, fall downs or incur other personal injury. I also do worker's compensation law. I help people draft wills and I help them settle estates after their loved ones have passed away. I also help people set up small businesses and lease space for same. In ...Expand for more
the past I have also represented individuals in police brutality and false arrest cases. I also represnted many people who had been discriminated in their attempts to obtain housing. I also sit as a special master/referee in dissolution of marriage matters in the Hartford and New Britain courthouses. The best part of having a general practice is never knowing who or what kind of case will call me up or walk in the door. Most of the time, people are unhappy when they come to see a lawyer. I try to help people get through the upset or ordeal that has brought them to my office. Many classmates have been my clients over the years. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you have been able to help old friends. PS-The State Marshal I use to deliver legal papers is Steve Harris.
