Henry's Story
During my junior and senior years, I worked at Vera & Clint's Cafe and the Luckey Ranch. After graduation I became a fingerprint technician for the F.B.I., in Washington D.C. I was drafted into the U.S. Army, but chose to enlist in the USMC. I am a Marine and a Vietnam veteran. I worked at Southwest Research Institute for 32 years before retiring as the Manager, Inventory Control, Traffic & Mail Operations. I was married to my high school sweetheart, my beloved Linda (Gonzales) for 46 years before losing her to cancer
last September. For the past two years I have enjoyed going on cruises with my family. I have two daughters Caroline Overley (Ret, USMC) & Chris...Expand for more
tine Nino (Talascend/AECOM/Tesoro Petroleum) and a son Henry III, granddaughters, Miranda & Marissa Miller and two grandsons Henry C Nino IV and Alexander Overley. I have a wonderful son-in-law, Tom Overley (Ret, USMC). My family and I like to gamble, mostly at the Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass and the two cruise ships we've been on also had casinos. My wife was the lucky one, often bailing me out with her jackpot winnings at the Grand Casino Coushatta in Louisiana and the Luckey Eagle. I often tell people that I won MY jackpot when I met and later married my wife, Linda. I enjoy an occasional barbecue with my family and fishing, both fresh and saltwater.
