Herbert's Story
Hi,
If you are reading this, it means you remember me from high school, college, or any one of several jobs I have had over the years. Either that or you landed here by accident. No matter. Hopefully I will remember you as well, but feel free to write me & remind me just the same.
Like anyone, life has thrown me some interesting curves. I was married for 16+ years, but am now divorced. Lately my time has been spent amongst work, helping my father & looking after my step-mother & trying to make some improvements to my 2 family home, where I live on the 1st floor & rent out the 2nd. I have a HUGE die cast car & truck collection (over 850 pieces), which has been terrific fun to collect, but now I want to sell a large portion of it so I can buy a 60's muscle car or pick-up truck. ...Expand for more
I figure why wait until I'm too old to enjoy it, right?
I have been working for Rob Hassold, my best friend of 30+ years, for over 7 years now. We have an excellent working relationship & have successfully been able to keep our work vs. personal lives separate. The perk of getting to see my best friend every day is something I couldn't even begin to put a price on - and I mean that. AND - Uncle Herbie loves his kids to death...
I hope all of you are doing well, but even if you're not, don't let that deter you from reaching out and making contact. Life throws all of us a lot of curves, but good friends with an ear to listen and the occasional shoulder to cry on can make it all bearable. I know - because my friends have been there for me!
Don't be shy - drop me a line. Cheers!
