Reported to my first tour of sea duty onboard a DIESEL SUBMARINE in Norfolk, VA. for six years. As the old saying goes, "join the navy and see the world". e) Athens; (Somalia) Djibouti; Karachi, Pakistan; (Denmark) Copenhagen; (Norway) Bergen; (Scotland) Holy Loch. As I said, just to name a few. I also served aboard a Nuclear Submarine for five years. Spent a total of 21 years in the Navy. Retired in 1982. Went to work for Newport News Shipbuilding as a Logistic Analyst, Inputing supply data to update Navy Supply Records for the Navy Department. Did that for 21 years, and retired from there in 2005. Now enjoying a well earned retirement with my family.
