Hershel's Story
After graduating from AHS I spent two years at Shippensburg before being drafted into the Army. I married Annetta McAlarney, AHS Class of 67. I spent a little more than 4 years in the Army. I was stationed in Georgia, Oklahoma, Vietnam, and Texas. After leaving the Army we both went to Shippensburg. I taught for 26 years in Harrisburg School District. aughters who are now all teachers. I guess we are not very diversified. I have been retired for 9 years. I owned an Antique Cooperative for several years before retiring from that to become a full time babysitter of two six week old babies. This is my fifth year babysitting and the last. Annetta and I are going to do some traveling starting in June 2010. Our first stop will be Las Vegas. We bought a time share there and love it. Not much else to tell.
