Carol's Story

Life Married since 1989 to real estate broker Bob Hurwitz whom I met when I started graduate school at UCLA. We live on the beach in Marina Del Rey, CA and have one wonderful son, Jake who is 15 and plays volleyball just like his Dad. I got my Ph.D. from UCLA in research psychology but haven't worked in the field for years. I'm involved instead in real estate sales and development. We have some beach properties I renovated and those keep me pretty busy. I love skiing and snow boarding in Sun Valley Idaho with my son and his friends as well as my brother Bruce Hickman and his kids....Expand for more
I'm the family videographer and photographer. Making family movies on my Mac for my son and his cousins is one of my favorite pastimes (I never quite catch up on all the "pending" projects though!). Another favorite of mine is our annual trip to the north shore of Kauai (Haena) where we share a home with a group of friends each summer. On a sadder note, we lost our Dad, Robert Hickman in 2005 to Lou Gehrig's disease. He fought very bravely and was taken from us way too soon. But he left a great legacy, four kids who adored him and ten grand children! All in all I feel very blessed.
