Hilde's Story
It's hard to believe I'm already 55! I've been married 34 years to my husband, Ted. Since we married, we moved a lot, due to Ted's job with AT&T, to St. Thomas, USVI, Traverse City, Savannah Georgia, and Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. We now live in a small town in north Florida, about halfway between Tallahasse and Jacksonville. We moved here after Ted retired. We travel a lot; our favorite places to visit are Mexico and Europe, and do a little gardening, and belong to the American Legion Auxilliary. We have two cats, but no kids or grandkids.
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
I get in front of the computer and play games, do e mail, facebook, and a little shopping.

rong!.
My best friend would tell you I'm shy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as outgoing.
My best friend would tell you I'm loving, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as flighty.
well, my oldest friend was Debbie Rouhib. We met rolling skating, and became friends because of the same interests. She died in November of 2008 at the age of 53. so young.
My first job was at Kresge's, where I got paid 1.60/hr to work the toy department. What I remember most about it is I hated it!!!.
I still keep in touch with a lot of you, some throught facebook, and a couple I see when I go up to Michigan.
Sadly, Ted and I separated in 2013, and divorced in '16. I didn't know he was ill; he passed away a few months later. I am now in a relationship with a man I met at a national American Legion convention in Cincinnati.
