Gary's Story
After I ended my first year of college (Western Illinois) in a Peoria hospital, I moved to Florida (Ft Lauderdale). I completed my education at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and then began my "work" life. One of the major things in my life was my father passing away 5 years ago. I am now living in Boynton Beach and helping my 90 year old mom live out the rest of her life. My sister (Gail) lives less than a mile away with her family including 2 sons; the oldest Patrick is away at Uof Florida and he has become a full fledge Gator, while Gregory is in his seniot year of high school. He just got back from Lake Tahoe where he and his girlfriend went snow skiing for the first time. ately it didn't last very long but it resulted in my 25 year old daughter, Nicole. She is on her own in north Florida working as a Marketing Director for the YMCA and teaching Sunday school to the youth at her chiurch.
I have been working as a Senior Property Appraiser for the state in Palm Beach County for over 20 years and just the other day a friend of mine asked me when I was going to "retire". Back at Maine I never thought about that word but this May I'll be 60! ! ! !
Recently I received an e-mail from a man in Sweden and it turns out he is a distant relative of mine. I'm hoping in the near future to learn the language and visit him and his family.
Sorry I won't be able to attemd this reunion; I remember when I attended our 25th with Gay Linke. Had a great time.
In memeory of all the great times I had with the Hawk football team, would somebody please ring the bell over the scoreboard.
GOD BLESS.
