Gail's Story
I am an equestrian and have owned several horses over the years. I do Hunter-Jumper with my horrses but i also enjoy trail riding and love to take the horses to other locations for adventure rides with my husband. My otther passion is travelling the world and I was very fortunate to find a husband that I was able to entice to go with me!! Bill is a big game hunter so we have been to Tanzania Kenya,Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa and experienced some great adventures. I have had a love of elephantts since I was in high school. On some of our trips I have arranged to work with elephants in India and Thailand where I recieved a "massage" while lying on the ground and she massaged my back with her huge foot and sucked on my head with her trunk. What a delightful experience!!! I slept and co-habitated with them at an elephant refuge in South Africa, That trip was in 2014 and in 2015 we made our 2nd trek tto India where we stayed with the camels at the Pushkar Camel Faire in tthe middle of the desert (that's a whole another story, Camels are not nearly as appealing or inttelligient as Ellies). India is a magical country with wonderous things to see. Our travels have also included Egypt ,Morocco, Russia, Cambodia, Viettnaam, China, Southeastt Asia and many trips to Europe.
Another love of mine is raising Harlequine Great Danes which I ...Expand for more
have done for over 35 years (they are humans in a warm furry body). They are so intelligient the sad part is that they are so large they do not live very long. My dogs have all been 170-185 lbs. and the oldest only lived to 8 years, Heartbreaking!!!
I also enjoy interior design. I have studied it and remodled and decorated three houses. The oldest house was a
1919 house I lived in in theSan Francisco Bay area. I like bike riding and belong to a book club.
After attending college in Utah I moved to the San Francisco Bay area and became a Deputy officer for San Mateo County. I then tested for the San Mateo Police Dept. in 1974 and became the1st female police officer on patrol in our area (there were none in San Francisco or San Mateo Co.) This was not an easy position to work my way into. I was ELATED when I retired after working for 27 years at the police department. Now life is easy and good.
I want to add one last thing, Those of you that knew me were aware that I lived with the Hilton family and Claudia and I were "sisters". I lost contact with the family after I moved to the Bay Area. I was informed by a family member about 5 years ago that Claudia had died from cancer. She had suffered from several types of canceer over the years. She was living in Colorado when she died.
I hope all of you that are still with us have enjoyed a wonderfull life!!
