Life
Hey there! It has probably been at least 18 years since I last seen or spoke to most of my Apple Valley & Hesperia friends. Quick recap...I left for Utah State University in 89 where I joined a sorority (Chi Omega)& got 2 degrees...yes,one in partying, the other in psychology which I finished a bit later. During a brief visit back to the High Desert in 94, I met my husband Joey and life really began for me. I fell in love with him, his two year old daughter and began my walk with God. Since 94...I have been a military wife of 13+ years and mommie to three daughters (Darain 16, Alexandrea 12 and Hannah 9). I have moved all over the globe, experienced my husband serving overseas, most recently deploying to Iraq for 18 months and faced cancer head on with him. ly gender studies,this time graduating with honorsinstead of a beer bong. We moved to Oahu, Hawaii in 2004 with plans to retire there as we all surf, scuba and adore the islands. However, many factors propelled us in our recent move to our home in Little Rock, Arkansas. We have been here for just over a year and we absolutely love it (crazy huh?). My passion (aside from being wifey & mommy)over the past 12 years has been working as a Social Worker for the developmentally & mentally disabled. Most recenlty I began working on-call at Arkansas Childrens Hospital in PICU/NICU and burn center wards. I have this month acccepted a casemanager job at University of Arkansas Medical Sciences where I will get to do some writing on grant funded projects and resume my MSW which I am terrified to begin as I am an old bird working with young chicks.
