Mark's Story

Mark is married with Jennifer Austin Hoke. Mark's schools include Payson High School, Santiago High School Cal St Fullerton & GCC formally EAC.I Left Payson to see the world & all I ended up seeing was Kentucky Tennessee Ohio St. Lewis & California. Not counting the states in the west I visited while on the Vision quest wagon train when I was in Jr High with most of you.. After a stint in the Army at Ft Knox, which is super cool, I went to California to see if I would enjoy the hustle & bustle of big city living. I worked several Jobs which included Security for Universal Protection. I started out like Paul Blart Mall Cop but moved up quickly to shift supervisor for accounts such as Vision Street Wear, the Panasonic & Mitsubishi research centers and was eventually put in charge of a Multi High Rise building complex in Newport Beach known as the Koll Center. Its the same complex where they filmed the opening scene of Jerry Maguire, There were four 20 story high rises there that held the dpt of Education for Orange County Ca. & tons of Lawyers & other Corporate Offices. But nothing was cooler than being able to go to the roofs of those buildings with your girlfriend & see the lights of the city at night and the Blue of the Ocean during the day. I should have stayed but My restless adventurous side always seemed to take me somewhere else every 3 or 4 years, My last Job was by far the funnest & easiest Job I ever worked at. I became an attractions host at the happiest place on earth. Disneyland. I spent 2 years there before deciding to come back home to Payson after a 3 year relationship that just didn't work out. It was all my fault, I was too much of a tumble weed & Immature. I shoulda grew up a...Expand for more
lot sooner. But Disneyland is more of a transitional Job for college students while they are going to school. That's why you don't see very many older people as employees there except for behind the scenes.I had some really good times there though & learned a lot of their secrets, When I moved back to Payson I met my Wife Jennifer Austin As she was known back then while working as a CNA at Manzanita Manor, She was a dietary aid. We dated a year & one day I asked her if she would mary me & to my surprise she said yes, So I got married, settled down in Payson, had two great sons, did the little league, pop warner, youth basketball & the rodeo committee thing. Staying involved & active anyway I could to be a good example to my boys. Like most people I did anything I could find in Payson to make ends meet. Road construction Masonry work landscaping ect. Now I run The Lazy D Ranch & Apartments in Star Valley. I am a member of Mountain Bible Church going on 5 years now & I have been a Sunday school teacher there just over a year, That has been by far the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I love all my kids & my Church family they have been such a blessin to me. If you are looking for a great place to worship & fellowship I would highly recommend it. Christs love is really there & I have been change by what I have learned about Christs love & the way everyone there shows it. I am also Playing a little mens league softball & just livin day to day in this beutifull forest we have. I've done a lot in my life & wouldn't trade all my experiences for nothing, Its been a wild ride & now that the kids are all grown up we'll see what god has next for me. Go class of 86.
