While at Dulles I was in the FAA Co-Op program with Mr Davis, I was an assistant to a Professional Dog Handler who still lives in the area and is now showing miniature horses last a heard. After working there for two more years I then moved my mother to NC due to Cancer. Her family lived here and she wanted to also.
I never went back to Houston. While waiting to become an in-state student to go back to school I worked on my Uncles scuba diving boat and fell in love with that. Thought I would do that for the rest of my life, but just like anything else that you do day in and day out it becomes a job and not a very good paying one.(had tones of fun and still love it) I became a Vol. with a rescue squad as an EMT and the rest is history. I am now a Paramedic and have been for 18 years and I still love it. It is always...Expand for more
different and helping people gives me something I cannot describe.
I have also kept up with the animal lover in me. I have always loved horses and when I moved here got my own horse(yes the bills and all) started teaching myself and took lots of lessons and clinics. I now have a 25 stall boarding facility with 43 horses, donkeys and ponies, 34 goats, 1 sheep, chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, dogs, cats, 1 African gray parrot, 1 cockatoo, 1 cockateal, 2 rabbits and finally 1 pig. To clarify that I am not totally out of my mind, I have summer camps, birthday parties, and a petting zoo for the kids. (Kids can be profitable.) The main part of my day is training horses and giving horse riding lessons. I love this also and am trying to build a new facility outside Wilmington NC. Then saving lives in a rotating weekend schedule from 6:30 pm until 6:30 am.
