Hope's Story
Life
I'll be honest, since graduating from Jefferson, I got lost along the way. I am now proud to say that I will be graduating from college this spring. In the past 17 years I have conqured alcoholism, mental illness and the death of both my parents. Sure, did not follow the usual path of mist of you but I have experienced so much life. You don't realize how precious life is until you have looked death in the eye. I am proud of where I am now, and proud to be graduating with a degree in Business management. rk and spend much of my summers in Park Rapids. I am not married, but still looking. I have many nieces and nephews that I love dearly. I just returned from a conference in Washington D.C. where I lobbied for underrepresented students. We as a group were able to remove the novice language from an amendment for reautherization of the TRiO programs. I am passionate about fighting for the rights and funding for first generation, low income and disabled students. I hope by the fall of 2006 to be working for the state or Hennepin county.
