Hope's Story

Life Hi there. Thanks for checking this out. Since I first submitted my profile, even more life changing events have taken place. I have been married for 15 years. My son, is 14 and has been playing on a "major league" baseball team in Topeka, KS for 2 yrs. His team has played in the ELITE 24 in Orlando (which is the top 24 teams in the country at the highest level you can play) & they took 2nd in Nationals this year in Tulsa. His true passion is actually playin QB on his football team- which he plays on his school team, a tournament team and in arena football in the winter. He also has his black belt in Taekwondo. We are very proud of his abilities, but even more proud of what a great kid he is! Believe it or not- MY child is on the honor roll??? Our daughter is now 8: plays soccer, and is working towards her black belt now. She really wants to be in commercials. James enjoys motocross & mountain biking & riding his new Harley Rocker when he is not working. He owns a recruiting business that has gone Nationwide now and has opened in 9 major citys in the US. I own an interior design/decorating business. I keep my hours down right now so that I can also be a mom full time. Last time that I counted, I had around 720 clients in the KC area. On a personal level: I have traveled to many beautiful places around the world over the past 5 yrs, including the islands of Fiji (near Austrailia/ 15 hour plane ride...eeeek). We have taken up the hobby of SCUBA diving, which has conquered my biggest fear- of deep water and drowning! This was a huge feat for me!!! Now, we HAVE to travel to exotic places in order to enjoy it. I guess that's not too bad of a thing. Our first dive was in the Bahamas with about 30 sharks! Very cool! Even though I prefer dive trips, we have also been to Lake Tahoe to ski a couple of times, Vegas a few times, Boston, many areas of Colorado, LA , Hollywood, San Francisco, San Diego, Miami/South Beach, Orlando/Disney World, & more. Let's see... I took up Kick boxing as my favorite fitness routine about 7 yrs ago. I got certified and tought classes for a while. My husband & I designed our (1st d...Expand for more
ream) home 8 yrs ago. It feels like we are in the country- but only minutes from the Plaza and all of our favorite hang outs & shopping! We enjoy working with several charities in the KC area (Will Sheilds foundation, WEN-womens employment network, the "Hope House" & DARE to name a few). We love going to Tablerock lake to play with our boat on the water when we get a weekend free-not enough of those. Even if you think that my life is different from when you knew me: I am the same HOPE; always out to have a great time, laugh, spend time with friends & family and love life! I believe life is what you make it. I have no regrets!!! OK...I could have studied harder in school! Other than that, I am blessed to have had each experience in my life. Everytime I think back on my time in Warsaw, I smile! All of the wild & crazy, laid back and even the tough times: they were all great experiences & I wouldn't trade the memories for anything. I am blessed to have known all of my friends and am so excited about what the future holds. I certainly hope that your life is everything you want it would be and if it isn't- then I hope it will be, soon. I wish the very best for you and your life. Be safe, happy, healthy and live life to the fullest. School Ok, you all know who my biggest crush was. Duh! TBJ. However, Jamie was "Romeo", Jack White had those eyes, and Rodney Bonner was the best friend anyone could ever have. Mrs. Anderson & Mrs. Schnakenburg were my biggest inspirations. They always believed in me- even when I didn't. They pushed me to drop the drama from my life and focus on what was best for me. They also encouraged me to push my limits when I was uncomfortable...but make it seem effortless. My funniest moment was probably a series of events while I cheered in my freshman year. Yep...I was a cheerleader, even if you don't remember back that far. One was when I kicked my shoe about 50 feet, in front of the basketball team as they were being introduced. I had to walk across the court to get it, as everyone laughed and cheered for me. Happiest and craziest??? My entire senior year!!!! It was awesome!
