Aimee's Story
I currently live in the South Bay area of Los Angeles with my boyfriend Richie. He is a Longshoreman with the ILWU Local 13 at the Port of Los Angeles.
I have always loved the ocean. So living a block away from the beach is REALLY OK with me.
I am currently a Licensed Insurance Agent working for AFLAC. Yes. The Duck commercial.
I am also working on creating a non-profit organization called Healing Harts so that I can contribute towards making this world a better place. It will be a safe haven for those who have been abused where they can securely face the pain and trauma of their abuse through expression by means of Art such as painting, poetry, music etc.
I am a cervical and breast cancer survivor.
I do not have any children.

After high school, I attended Rancho Santiago Community College. I took classes at both the Orange and Santa Ana campuses. I am only two classes shy of my Associate Arts Degree. I intend on taking night classes to complete them and receive that degree for I believe in the quote "the gateways to wisdom and knowledge are always open." - unknown.

I later worked for my Aunt Andrea doing Parralegal work at her office in Newport Beach.
I worked one week as a temp receptionist at KIKFM. Yehaw!
In 1991, I started as the receptionist at Orange County Wholesale Electric. As the years passed, I was promoted from receptionist to Accounts Payable.
In 1999, Orange County Wholesale merged with and became OneSource Distributors, Inc.
At OneSource, I worked my way up through several different departments. I worked there for 20 plus years.
In 2007, I went to work for B&K Electric Inc. in their Energy Solutions Department as Inside Sales and Project Manager.
In 2014, I branched away from the Electrical Industry and had to completely reinvent myself. But, I've never been one to buckle under adversity. So, I signed myself up for online courses and studied hard to become a Licensed Insurance Agent. I am very proud that I was able to pass the very hard California Insurance License Exam on my very first attempt.
AFLAC later then asked me to join their Insurance Agent team.
This is where I am working today.
I have traveled 11 US States, 2 Canadian Provinces and Mexico.
Europe is next on my traveling bucket list.
