Howard " Bud"'s Story
In high school was the want-to-be jock hanging out with smart nerds. Surfed in the summers after I was able to drive to CA. After high school entered ASU as an engineering major. I didn't stay at ASU for more than 1-1/2 years. Just wanted to get to work and put some money in my wallet. Started working for Xerox Corp. as a copier tech. Waiting for the computer division to finally merger to move over to that part of the company. I turned it down and that turned out to be a smart move. Computer division went bankrupt in 5 years.
Moved to Prescott in Jan. 1970 and took over the raw territory that covered a 1/4 of the state and made from a red ink zone to a profit center in 18 months, took 3 people to replace what I was doing. Doing both the selling and servicing of copiers. For that success and effort Xerox screwed me over big time after I moved back to Phx to get my degree. Went back to ASU and finished my degree in Business /Construction Management.Class of '81 with a 3.2 gpm and after almost not being accepted for quitting earlier ...Expand for more
in '66. But with my Associate degree from Phx College( 3.7 gpa) they let me back in to finish my degree. For me to advance in Xerox they wanted me to earn a business degree and told me they didn't have a job because of the woman's movement in business. I quit. I was putting myself through school owning and managing apartment complexes. 9 complexes 60 units.
Played semi -pro fast pitch softball from the 70's and 80's., volleyball (sand and hard court) and still playing golf. Senior tour was a goal and tried earn a spot, but not enough money to follow through.
Been in the construction business remodeling houses for over 25 years between Phx and Prescott. Real estate is my business these days buying and selling foreclosed houses nationwide from my new resident in central AZ.
I show folks how to earn 14x's their returns from traditional investing by doing what I do with real estate.
Currently single. Still looking for Mrs. Right after an earlier marriage of 14 years, two kids and 5 grandsons.
That's my story.
