Merrill's Story
Hi Classmates, I was a graduate of winter '62, was on student government as Director of Athletics. I played football and tennis. I was in the Knights and Letterman's Club. after graduation I attended Cal State Northridge and received a BA in 1967. From there I went to a Seminary in Covina, received a MDiv., but did not pursue the ministry. After working for United Parcel Service for a few years, I went back to school and got a PhD from School of Theology at Claremont. During this time I was married to Bonnie Woodburn and we had a son, Wesley Robert Hubbard in 1968. Wes is currently a school counselor at Pacifica High School in Garden Grove. My marriage ended in divorce, unfortunately, and I was a single parent until my son went off to college at 18.

s a Marriage and Family Therapist, continuing to work with clients for the next 37 years. In October of 2014, I decided to retire and put full time attention to writing a book on the second half of life which I am calling at this point, Boomers' Journey. I have almost completed the writing, and next month will be starting the search for an agent and a publisher. While I was a therapist, I stayed very private, but now be interested in connecting with some classmates again. I have seen some of you at reunions, but haven't gone in a number of years. I will look forward to hearing from you.
