Joyce's Story
Hi peeps. Well I moved to Redding, CA and still here... Financial reasons. Can't afford Silicon Valley anymore. Who can? Have been diagnosed with Diabetes, Parkinson's, COPD and depression. With everything going on the latter is a no brainer. I got laid off at Expo Design Center, but I got my AAS degree in Medical Billing & Coding and graduated with honors in January 2011. I can't believe I finally have a degree in something. And Honors? Wow! Hearing aids really made a difference. In high school I graduated with a embarrassing 1.82 GPA because I couldn't hear all through school. At Heals, I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. A lot of people thought I wasn't too bright, haha to them. Woohoo!! =)
I am still single. I still retreat to my love for music. I read, go to the movies to escape the hectic outside world of this valley. I also make jewelry, photo albums for various events in people's lives. I started selling my jewelry and I do ok. Not a millionaire but it brings in extra money and I enjoy it quite a bit. I am also attempting to re-write my great-grandmother's autobiography. ...Expand for more
She was an amazing woman who inspires me. From learning about her, I have learned a great deal about myself. I moved up to Redding, CA in June. Due to lower rent I am able to afford things more and I'm closer to our house in Dunsmuir. I am now on disability due to being diagnosed with Parkinson's. It's a scary thing to live with.
Well it has been 14 years since my sister Janis died in October of 2001. I miss her terribly as she was my best friend. She left a son, Jake who is the light of my life, even though he can a butt head. He's married and now is a father of two girls and a son, making me Great-Aunt Joyse. Am I really old enought to be one of those?!! We also lost my brother 81/2 years ago in April of 2007 to various illnesses. Mainly congestive heart failure. He is sorely missed also. I miss our daily phone calls and going to the movies. He would want to go to 2-4 movies in one day. He loved going going to the movies.
Pictures are posted!! You can also see more pictures of Bobby's daughters Tamara and Frankie on my Facebook. Hope life is being good to you.........
