Heading up to Rochester today to record Nick Ziobro singing the "Sinatra" song with a studio band at Eastman. My chart!
I'm posting this in the hope Jason Graae will finally realize the effect the oboe has on people.
This is my dad, 97 years young - photo taken last Dec. in the Fox Drug Store in Coleman, TX. Note the Christmas decorations! The most loving, decent and honorable man I've ever known. I'm very lucky.
Here's a photo of me and my dad taken last May. W.E. "Gene" Arnold passed away 1/17/17. He was 97 years young; a veteran of WW2, retired hospital administrator, all around great guy, and the best father anyone could hope fo

OK, here's my Throw-Up Thursday post. Me in the glasses at the rifle range, having a swell time saving 'merica from the Cong. Basic training, Ft. Knox, KY, fall of 1968.
Rehearsal for the USMA Band Alumni reunion concert yesterday at West Point. Great to hang with all the old timers and active duty personnel. Terrific playing by all. Sure brought back a lot of wonderful (and hilarious) memo
