Hugo's Story
You'll probably remember me as the long haired one who hung out at the "Gazebo" along with Benny and Mac, Paul Stream (still my buddy), Tracy Garcia from "thee Undertakers" (remember when they played at lunch time?), Steve "Roadie" Aragon, Willy "Ugh" Mendeville (he still lives on Oakford), Vince, Sarah (Bubble butt), Dee Dee (thin w/freckles), Lorraine & Martha (inseperable), and Margie (my favorite).
I surprized myself in this life by realizing that, occasionally, pot makes me smarter (kidding). My greatest accomplishment is becoming a (ghost)writer/artist for children/young adults' books and occasionally, help guys overcome the nervousness of meeting girls by changing their perspective on self worth and esteem. Other accomplishments came by accident, and by natural choice. I remember my friends calling me a "Mad Scientist" so, dabbling in madness (accidentally), I became a specialist for the aviation/space industry involving High Vacuum Technologies and the metalurgic surface and anti-corrosion fields (plating). And because I'm so fascinated by how God put this universe together, I do photography (naturally).
"What does he do now?" Well, I'm glad you thought of asking.
I still write, play around with engineering new ways to put vaporized metals and crystals on different subtrates (now using sputtering & laser vaporization techniques), and I've had a lot of practice playing the bass. ..since High School.
If you still think of me as a (boarderline...Expand for more
) wuss and a pothead, I can, most definetly, change your perspective. I came out of my shell fighting, defeating the demons in me,.. ..keeping in mind that smoking pot doesn't do a thing for your health! (I won that battle too).
I got married at age 32 because so many woman couldn't live up to my criteria/standards, no-matter how pretty they are. Dating women that are too "conditioned" by the media, (dramatic, spoiled, wanting their prince on a white horse) seemed a little too shallow in contrast to dating women who are more down to earth. (remember Terri?) I always see the beauty in personalities and character, looks will age, but inner beauty always fluorishes.
I finally found the Love of My life when I took a step back (She's from Mexico). We married and have two beautiful Daughters as a result, ages 10 & 13. My wife is still keeping me happy and We currently live in Alhambra, CA., and on Saturdays I play bass with my brother Mario on drums. (Yeah, that's me, "Mario's Brother, ..Hugo"), Sundays I attend "All Souls Church" just around the block from my place.
If you're curious don't try looking me up on the web, I'm a very private person. But if you find me, I'll probably think about writing back.... ..unless your integrity is paramount to your character.
Peace, and my you strive in bettering yourself for the Kingdom of God, the Almighty. Don't worry, Jesus Forgives your past life and welcomes you to your new life in Christ. Amen!
