Mary's Story
Where I Live:
I currently live in Southern California and I don't miss New England weather at all! I especially like the fact that we live approx 2 hours from anything you want to do. We could go to the desert, to the beach, mountains, shopping what ever you feel like that day. Of course driving 2 hours back then, felt like it was all day.....and we ending up out of the state.
Another bonus is that we are a hop, skip and a jump from Hawaii. I have gone 3 times....and want to go again.
Work:
I work at a non-profit Senior Community Center. I know it sound dull but it isn't. I wear many hats. I am the Editor of a newsletter that goes out every month which has a large circulation. I am also a volunteer manager that recruits...Expand for more
and schedules over 300 volunteers in various volunteer positions, I also manage all events and activites and plan fundraising events. All while getting hugs, kisses, and "sage advise" from my seniors. I have some trying days...but, all in all it is a great job.
Staus:
I am married to Mark whom I have known since I graduated in 1979. We have been best friend all this time. We both have gotten married and divorced and ended up with each other. We will be married for 5 amazing years this summer.
I have a son who will be 20 this spring and is going to college.
Next year we would love to travel to the Black Forest in Germany for Marks 50th Birthday.
Final note: I would love if someone would post any news on our 30 reunion!
