Ian's Story
After leaving Redford, I attended the University of Michigan, ending up with a Metallurgical Engineering degree. Moving around for work, I finally ended up in New England (outside Worcester, MA) in 1988 where I've lived ever since. I managed to obtain a Master Degree in Metallurgical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute while working full time which has led to more career opportunities....Expand for more
I've been managing an R&D department for a division of a large British firm since 2005 and surprisingly have my main office in Auburn Hills, MI so get back to the Detroit area regularly. I'm lucky that my extensive traveling (mainly to EU where I have a Technology Center) allows me to continue to live in MA. I would like to think that Redford help prepare me for the type of career I've enjoyed.
