Ilene's Story
Ilene is from Chicago, Illinois. Ilene is single. Ilene's schools include Niles West High School. Ilene later attended Northeastern Illinois University. Ilene works at City Colleges of Chicago.She tutors students for any and all writing assignments within the professional Writing Lab at Harold Washington College (professional because all of the tutors in the Lab are college educated with Bachelor's Degrees and Master's Degrees in Arts and/or Science. I have also studied at the University of Chicago for two years. At HWC, where I have been teaching classes as well as tutoring individual students for 17 years and still going, I have taught English and Humanities courses at both HWC and H.S. Truman College.
Blues seem to ascend from my soul as if singing and listening to the Blues is just about as natural for me as writing poetry, maybe even more natural. Books, almost any genre' and on almost any subject is furth...Expand for more
er fodder for my famished and frustrated mind. Of course, I never was one for alliteration. Movies I like include first and foremost, Oliver! and then West Side Story, Equilibrium and more, but on TV, I enjoy crime dramas such as Law & Order (especial SVU and Criminal Intent), Criminal Minds, Monk, and Bones just to mention a few. I enjoy, even cherish old-time comedies such as Cheers, Welcome Back Kotter (they're back! channel 26.3 week nights), and a list too long to mention here and now because I have to get back to work.
Well, that about sums me up, but never ends. It never ends. . . . So? Nu? What's new with you? Oh, and yes, I was a maladjusted hippie chick who has evolved into a very well adjusted bohemian being : ) Of course, in high school I was your average run-of-the-mill timid little seeker peering through big brown eyes wondering how a kiss could actually taste sweeter than wine. . . . ;)
