Ilona's Story
The story wizard on this class mate sight asked for a story about how I met my oldest friend. Well, my oldest and best friend is Charles Le Clair. (My second dearest friend is Paul Cunnigham, but I lost touch with him many years ago, besides, that¿s another story.) Chuck and I have been married for the past 20 years. You may remember him as the quiet tall redhead. I knew him in passing since 7th grade, but I actually met him in Mr. Kendall¿s science class in our Freshman year. It turns out fate had a hand in our meeting. Those of you who remember me, may describe me as a Chatty Kathy. (That hasn¿t changed) Chuck, on the other hand, was quiet. Through a quirky twist of fate the alphabetical seating arrangement was mixed up. I was to actually sit next to John Menuitis, (Sorry John if I spelled your name wrong, it has been m...Expand for more
any years.) instead I was seated next to our quiet Chuck. He was on my left and no one sat on my right. Paul was all the way in the front row so I couldn¿t talk to him. Since there is no stopping a Chatty Kathy, I began to talk to Chuck, besides he was a really nice guy. I eventually began passing him notes. (Remember those fun times!) Not only was he nice, but he was funny and smart! What more could a girl ask for? The next thing you know we dated for a while. Then we stayed friends and dated other people for a few years. After graduation we only lost touch for about a year and a half. Low and behold, in 1987 we reconnected on a romantic level and were married in 1988. I¿m a very lucky gal. He turned out to be the best husband a girl could ask for! We have been friends for 29 years and he has been my heart and soul.
