Imelda's Story
After graduation, I went to TWU for one year, then went back home to work for my dad. In 1963, I met my future husband, whom I married the following year. We lived in Germany, Wash. DC, Arlington, TX until 1985, when our marriage fell apart. I then returned to Laredo, got employment with DEA,and retired in 2000.

My youngest son lives in McAllen but we visit often.
I enjoy travelling, playing penny slot machines, dancing, cooking, drinking wine, an occasional mixed drink (or a shot of tequila) and beer. My next trip will be to Las Vegas, and the one after, hopefully, will be to San Francisco, the wine country, and the coast.
I go to Laredo at least twice a year, where I get to enjoy mariachi music, cumbias, and just kicking up my heels (while I still can). I also love to run into and visit with, old friends.
