orida âThe Sunshine Stateâ in 1992. She is engaged with three sons: Lamar Horton, 21; Kortnee Simmons, 18; and Alex Simmons, 16. She enjoys fishing, singing, and spending time with her family. A long time love has also been Bingo! Though of all of those the greatest love of all is spending time with her family. They often go down to the fishing creek and fish, watch movies together, go on outings, sit around and crack jokes; but for her itâs the time that she spends with her family that is most important to her.
Not only is she a dynamic author, she is also a singer. In her younger days, Imogene was in her church choir (usually leading). She traveled and sung all over the state of New York with the New Progressive Baptist Church choir. Often times she would go by herself with the pastor to sing at other engagements. Like her, her children have followed in her footsteps as singers, songwriters, authors, playwrights, producers, engineers, musicians, and basketball players.
Imogene is a ten-year Gulf War veteran of U.S. Army. She was a supply specialist/armorer, Personnel Information Systems Management Specialist. Awards she holds include several Good Conduct Medals, Army Achievement Medals, and Army Accomodation Medals. She also holds numerous degrees: an Associates in Applied Science in Accounting at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY; a Bachelors in Organizational Management at Warner Southern College in Lake Wells, FL; as well as a Masters in Human Resource Development and Administration from Barry University in Miami, FL.".
