Tony Anita's Story

Life Tony & I married in May of 1990. We have 3 beautiful children Anthony 17, Dominic 14 and Ellyce 8. Anthony is in his Senior year. Yipee. He said he's going to a 2 year then transferring to a 4 after he sees if "it's" for him. He's focused on his Band right now. I understand that. He's been so good through High School, I respect his decision. At least he's going, right? He has expressed the desire to be a teacher, High School level only, he says. Following in his Nino Julian's footsteps maybe... Dominic is playing in the marching band at Don Antonio Lugo High School. Yes, we are band parents! Oh my, the pride & honor you feel when you see your kid on the field. Tony would of liked to see him in a football uniform but I can see his pride with the band uniform. Ellyce is taking Hula lessons. She did it for about 6 months at the age of 5. After 2 summers in Hawaii she wanted to return. Christa Garcia Kaneshiro told me about a wonderful studio here in Chino. The Hawaiian culture is simply beautiful. That's what they teach and I like that. I like it so much I'm starting in November. Had a blast at our Charter Oak and Duarte High class of 87 reunions. So much fun to see everyone and catch up on ol' times. Talk about blast from the past... School My biggest crush I married, Tony Indolino! What teacher inspired me most would have to be Mr. Hall. Only because I took the class in summer with Janine, Michelle and Kristy and he made it fun and easy to pass. Would I do it all over, yea, I would do it different. I really wish I would of taken advantage of the education and continuing my education. I only see that now that I have a 17 year old who does value his education. Do I regret, Hell No! All my experiences through High School were AWESOME. Good friends, good parties, good memories have made for a good life! College Well, college, hum... Tony and I attended Mt. Sac right out of high school. Failed it. Tony liked money better. I went to Cosmetology at Citrus. Then got pregnant with Ant and got married. I tried Citrus again in 95. Did a year. It was an experience, that was a sanity sake move once again. Which actully made me crazy. Juggling two kids, Tony tried to be supportive but it was not my time, so I stopped and focuse...Expand for more
d on the kids again. Added another child. Then in 05 I enrolled at Chaffey to pursue that hidden desire of teaching. Totally was not my time! One in high school, one in jr. high, and one in elementary. I think I had a nervous break down! I really think I did! Now I tell myself there are plenty of people who get their teaching degrees at 55. So maybe that is in my plan. Tony already said he gets to retire early and I get to support him once the kids are gone! That may just work, eh? Workplace Work 8-5? Well, finally at 38 I'm learning how. Stayed home with the kids for many years, volunteering scouts, pfa, room mom etc. That was a 24 hour job, no clocking in and out. Although, I ventured off for sanity sake a few times through the years. I waitressed that was actually fun. Liliana Bello introduced me to that. I love people so it was up my ally. Gotta love the tips. I worked Retail, I was even the WalMart gretter and cashier during Christmas Season. I pray I never have to do that as a career. I have the upmost respect for retail workers. They are truly taken advantage of. Much rather waitress. : ) In 2005 I figured Ellyce was starting school full time and before Tony "makes" me get a job, i'll do it on my own. So I became an Instructional Aide for Chino Valley Unified School District. I really enjoyed working with the children. Education runs in the family and it has always been a secret dream of mine to be a teacher. While I was doing that I met a wonderful friend who offered me a job at her family owned business. After my assignment was completed at that school I went to work for American West Coast Security. I really enjoy working for them. I could not of asked for a better employeer. They are very flexible with my kids schedule and I appreciate that as they appreciate me! Look I'm : ) Now as far as Tony and his career. The man has worked in the Electrical field for 20 years! He's belongs to IBEW Local 11. He has busted his buns and has provided a very modest life for our three children and ourselves. He is a wonderful man! He is also an Instructor at the ETI of Southern California. I'm very proud of him. He laughed at me when they asked him to start teaching. He said he became a teacher before me. That's Tony, always joking!
