Ira's Story
Life
I am a Law Enforcement Officer for the State Of Michigan. I reside in Roseville, MI a subburb located approximately ten (10) miles East of Detroit, Michigan. I am single . I have one son (Mark Anthony Hill).. My son reside in Detroit, Michigan. I came to Michigan in June 1985 after I discaharged from the military and have been here ever since. I still go back to Monticello, Florida about once a year since I still have family there.
School
I attened Elizabeth Elementary School in the Dills Community of Jefferson County, Florida from grades 1 through 6. Miss Martha Stokes was my favorite teacher. Mrs Cora Henry was another one of my favorite teachers. Honorable mention goes to Mr. Blue one of the Principals and Reverend Sanders who was another one of the Principals.
College

Military
I joined the military after I graduated from high school. My (MOS) Military Occupational Specialty was ( 95B) Miitary Police. I spent two (2) tours (1969-1970 and (1971-1972) of duty in Vietnam. My highest award in the military was the Army (MSM) Mertitorious Service Medal and the Bronze Star with V Device. I attain the rank of 1st Sergeant (E-8). I continued my education while in the military and earned my Associates of Applied Science Degree in Law Enforcement Technology from Central Texas College, European Division while station in Germany while assigned to the 164th Military Police Company, (Miesau Army Depot), Miesau, Germany. I discharged from the military in 1985 from Fort Hood, Texas and moved to Detroit, Michigan. I currently work in the classified services for the State of Michigan in a Law Enforcement capacity. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology.
