My sister (Ellen) and I are survivors of the worst shipwreck in the world - the Gustloff. A book called "Death in the Baltic" by Connecticut author Cathryn Prince came out April 13, 2013 with our story and several others who ...Expand for more
suvived this tragedy. Out of about 10,000 refugees fleeing on that ship, which was torpedoed by Soviets January 30, 1945, only 10% survived the cold water. I'm looking forward to attending the 125th Reunion in September.
